Synopsis:
“When I learned that my grandmother had died, I wanted to run to hug something that would remind me of the immensity that accumulated when I hugged her. It was raining a lot and I was on the other side of the ocean, it was impossible to touch her body before handing it to land as she wanted to be received. I ran to my garden in the rain and touched the ground, squeezed, caressed and felt her hand squeezing mine. I was able to enter her garden with my memory and say goodbye to her in her favorite place. Where do our bodies end and where do our environments begin?”

Sinopse:
“Quando soube que minha avó havia morrido, quis correr para abraçar algo que me lembrasse a imensidão que se acumulou quando a abracei. Chovia muito e eu estava do outro lado do oceano, era impossível tocar seu corpo antes de entregá-lo à terra como ela queria ser recebida. Corri para o meu jardim na chuva e toquei o chão, apertei, acariciei e senti sua mão apertando a minha. Pude entrar no jardim dela com minha memória e me despedir dela em seu lugar favorito. Onde terminam nossos corpos e onde começam nossos ambientes?”

Amalia Herrera is Uruguayan and studied performing arts in Uruguay and Brazil. She has acted in Latin American theater and film projects in the Netherlands and Belgium.
