Synopsis
This experimental film is about the longing for blue and the missing of water. On this planet, the balance is off and we come across an extreme climate situation. The overheated deserts and some cities wait for the blue from the rain and its blessing. Meanwhile other areas are flooded. The intense colors in the film articulate the contrast situation between hot and cold. The industrial music in the clip articulates this offbeat chaos. The dancer stands for the humble human without resources, trying to balance in between those extremes.
Bio
Karin Balog works with photography, film and mixed media. She studied photography at the Royal Art Academy and is based in Amsterdam. Some of her work revolves around the uprooted society and identity. Rewriting geography is a friction related topic, used in her short experimental movies. Elements such as water, wind, fire and earth are represented as independent forces in an artificial world. Experimental short films combine photo’s, drawings, and other disciplines like dance.

Sinopse
Este filme experimental é sobre a saudade do azul e a saudade da água. Os desertos superaquecidos e algumas cidades aguardam o azul da chuva e sua benção. Enquanto isso, outras áreas estão inundadas. As cores intensas do filme articulam a situação de contraste entre quente e frio. A música industrial no clipe articula esse caos inusitado. A dançarina representa o ser humano humilde e sem recursos, tentando se equilibrar entre esses extremos.
Bio
Karin Balog trabalha com fotografia, filme e mídia mista. Ela estudou fotografia na Royal Art Academy e mora em Amsterdã. Alguns de seus trabalhos giram em torno da sociedade e da identidade desenraizadas. Reescrever a geografia é um tema de fricção, usado em seus curtas-metragens experimentais. Elementos como água, vento, fogo e terra são representados como forças independentes em um mundo artificial. Curtas-metragens experimentais combinam fotos, desenhos e outras disciplinas como dança.
