Synopsis
Healing is not always painless, can be complex and slow. There can also be setbacks.. The work focus on an individual in a stage of a desired healing process. However it’s not so much a healing of a troubled body, but the healing of a trouble mind and heart. We are in an epoch where we long for healing. But has the healing process even started or do we subconsciously not want any healing at all in the end within troubled societies and threatened social and nature environments .
Bio
Johannes Gerard was born in Cologne, Germany 1959. Studied at School of Printmaking and Design , Cologne, Germany from 1975-1987and at Dun Laogharie School of Art and Design, (IADT) Dublin, Ireland from 1977- 1981.Since 1981 worldwide participation in exhibitions, projects and festivals. 2007 created first Land Art installations. In 2014 first video films and performance pieces. From that year on his work and artistic visions start to focus on interdisciplinary, multi media and collaboration projects.

Synopsis
A cura nem sempre é indolor, pode ser complexa e lenta. Também pode haver contratempos. O foco do trabalho é um indivíduo em um estágio de um processo de cura desejado. No entanto, não é tanto a cura de um corpo problemático, mas a cura de uma mente e coração problemáticos. Estamos em uma época em que ansiamos pela cura. Mas o processo de cura já começou ou subconscientemente não queremos nenhuma cura no final em sociedades problemáticas e ambientes sociais e naturais ameaçados?
Bio
Johannes Gerard nasceu em Colônia, Alemanha, em 1959. Estudou na School of Printmaking and Design, Cologne, Germany de 1975-1987 e na Dun Laogharie School of Art and Design, (IADT) Dublin, Ireland de 1977- 1981. Desde 1981 participação mundial em exposições, projetos e festivais. 2007 criou as primeiras instalações Land Art. Em 2014 primeiros filmes de vídeo e peças de performance. A partir desse ano, seu trabalho e visões artísticas passam a se concentrar em projetos interdisciplinares, multimídia e colaborativos.
