Synopsis:
“Skin to Nature” examines the relationship between the body and the elements of nature, whether in terms of function, form, color or even personality. What do we mean when we say “natural” or “human-made”, when we are part of nature? How can we return to nature, how can our body become a “natural” part of nature again? We were looking for functional, aesthetic and essential parallels between the human body/human skin and the elements of nature.”

Sinopse:
“Skin to Nature” examina a relação entre o corpo e os elementos da natureza, seja em termos de função, forma, cor ou até mesmo personalidade. O que queremos dizer quando dizemos “natural” ou “feito pelo ser humano”, quando fazemos parte da natureza? Como podemos retornar à natureza, como nosso corpo pode se tornar novamente uma parte “natural” da natureza? Procurávamos os paralelismos funcionais, estéticos e essenciais entre o corpo humano/pele humana e os elementos da natureza.”

Mini bio:

Carmen Cheah is a Malaysian hair and face artist who likes to experiment with the limits of art forms. SueKi Yee is a Malaysian dancer-choreographer currently residing in Germany, interested in dance versatility, improvisation and multidisciplinary experimentation.

Carmen Cheah é uma artista de cabelo e rosto da Malásia que gosta de experimentar os limites das formas de arte. SueKi Yee é uma bailarina-coreógrafa da Malásia que atualmente residente na Alemanha, interessada na versatilidade da dança, em improvisação e experimentação multidisciplinar.
