The Taanteatro Occupation at the Arena Theater Eugênio Kusnet presents the artistic production of Taanteatro Company and the selected works of the companie’s national and international collaborators.

The occupation begins with the exhibition Taanteatro: Forces & Forms, curated by Hiro Okita, which features graphic materials and photographs that mark the trajectory of Maura Baiocchi and Taanteatro Company between 1982 and 2018.
Delivered by the representative of the Association Artaud de Rodez, the French actor Theophile Choquet, the lecture Antonin Artaud: Public Domain? inaugurates the homonymous project conceived by Wolfgang Pannek and will provide an international panorama of the reception of the Artaudian work in the present time.
With Verbar the Taanteatro Company presents a theater-choreographic solo (in process) conceived and carried out by Mônica Cristina Bernardes, The work approaches the mediatization and acceleration of the body in the mega-urban reality.
The multimedia installation Storms of emorehi of the composer Gustavo Lemos invites the public to experience an authorial myth that thematizes invisible operations of contemporary capitalism. The installation is accompanied by the lecture Contemporary Witchcraft that deals with the creative process of the author.
The event also features the launch of the book Taanteatro: Forces & Forces, written by Maura Baiocchi and Wolfgang Pannek, which summarizes the concepts and practices of the choreographic theater of tensions and the trajectory of the Taanteatro Company.
In Reflections between (po) ethics and aesthetics in the butô dance, Thiago Abel shares his academic research and his work as coordinator of the Butô Experimental Nucleus.
The musical program counts on a show of the São Paulo band Fuga Operária formed by Eduardo Alves and Leandro Melque. The band elaborates its music using musical instruments and electronic equipment.
Another highlight of the project is the exhibition Las Fumadoras by the Argentine painter Candelaria Silvestro. With curatorship of Miguel Paladino, the selection of works launches provocative perspectives on the female and trans bodies. The exhibition is accompanied by the performance Cortaderas and Fumadoras in collaboration with Mônica Cristina Bernardes and an artist talk with the painter.
