TAANTEATRO ECOPERFORMANCE RESIDENCY 2024

In 2024, Taanteatro Companhia will resume its international performing arts residency held in São Lourenço da Serra, Brazil, since 2001!*
The Taanteatro Ecoperformance Residency (TTER) is an invitation to performing and audiovisual artists eager to delve into a full-time ecoperformance experience at the company’s botanical garden-like headquarters.
In an ecologically abundant and beautiful environment, a group of 10 to 12 performing and audiovisual artists will be introduced to the concepts, training, and practices of taanteatro or choreographic theater of tensions developed by Maura Baiocchi, the creator of ecoperformance and founding director of Taanteatro Companhia and the International Ecoperformance Film Festival.
During in- and extensive daily training and laboratories guided by Taanteatro members, the participating artists will experience a transformative performing arts methodology leading to the creation and presentation of ecoperformances at the end of the residency.
The ecoperformative creation process includes not only the immediacy of body-environment experiences and interactions but also approaches the transpersonal mythology and ancestral becoming of each performer. In addition, the residency focuses on ecoperformance as film, discussing performing, recording, and editing strategies that benefit an audiovisual approach towards ecoperformance.

Send your letter of intent telling us why you wish to participate in TTER 2024 & bios.
Once you receive our acceptance message (including banking information), your place at TTER becomes valid by paying the inscription fee and sending us the transfer receipt. In reply, you will our confirmation message.
Payment:
Registration fee – Euro 700,00 – reservation of your place at TTER 2024.
Second payment – Euro 700,00 – until 60 days after transferring the registration fee
Registrations after September 2023: Euro 1.400,00

Refund:
TTER is limited to a selected number of participants and requires organization in advance. Therefore refund are only possible until October 2023. After this period investments can be transferred to the TTER 2025 edition.
